Yes, it’s been a minute. Life has been good, but the busy rhythms have caused me to neglect posting on here. But Thursday morning, as I was driving to theater practice, I had an idea. One of my subjects in school is poetry, and I’ve honestly fallen in love with it. So why not take some of my poetry and put it on here?
This poem is called Crow Flight. I was sitting outside a small restaurant one pleasant afternoon when I wrote this. A majestic and thrilling song had come into my earbuds. It reminded me of flying. It’s simple, but I let go of any strict principles and allowed my mind to translate my abstract thoughts into words. I hope you enjoy!
From branchless perch Fields and seas diminished The larger, the smaller Our time on earth finished Ascension is elimination Direction meets its death Upward leads allward While riding His breath Called deathly on ground By four-direction fools Our life abounds in flight Fragile limbs become heavenly tools.
"Called deathly on ground
By four-direction fools"
Wow!
